Mott Children's Hospital

For my Community Nutrition course I was fortunate enough to be placed with my number one choice for the service-learning component of the course.  I worked with Megan Brown, who is a RD at Mott Children's Hospital.  I enjoyed working with her so much that I asked to extend my semester-long experience with her, and continue to help her with projects.  One project I completed for her was a recipe book for the children in her bariatric support group equipped with the nutrition information that was calculated by inputting each ingredient for the individual recipes into SuperTracker, which can be seen above.  I also made a 'Freshman Year Survival Guide' for patients who were preparing to go or already in college for how to approach the dining hall, alcohol, mental health, etc., which can also be found above.
